Plurilock Security Inc said it has received a US$133,000 order from the US Marshals Service and a US$193,000 order from the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) as part of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's (NASA) Solution for Enterprise-Wide Procurement (SEWP) program, a US Government-Wide Acquisition Contract Vehicle (GWAC).
To fulfil the purchase orders, Plurilock’s Solutions Division will provide hardware maintenance for the two agencies. It said the orders align with its stated goal of expanding within the government vertical.
Including the latest orders, the company said contracts and orders announced since April 2021 represent a combined total of roughly US$12.23 million in sales.

The US Marshals Service is a part of the US Department of Justice, serving as the enforcement arm of the federal courts. The DEA is a federal law enforcement agency, tasked with enforcing controlled substances laws and regulations.
Plurilock noted that the incidence of cyber attacks against law enforcement agencies is on the rise, underscoring the need for using vendors with extensive experience in cybersecurity and IT support solutions.
In April, the DC Police Department was hit with a significant ransomware attack, the third law enforcement department in a six-week period, and was the 26th government agency to suffer an attack in 2021.
The SEWP V program, launched by NASA in 2015, is the leading IT contract vehicle, with government agencies spending $7.9 billion in fiscal 2020. Estimates anticipate that agencies will utilize SEWP V for $8.8 billion in contracted spending in fiscal 2021. The contract vehicle provides Plurilock with the opportunity to access downstream customers in the government sector, the company added.
