Carnival PLC (LSE:CCL) said it will have 90% of its US-based fleet operational by February, with the goal of all its ships being operational in the spring.
Some 17 ships are scheduled to sail by year-end, while Carnival Sunshine will restart from Charleston on 13 January and Carnival Liberty from Port Canaveral on 11 February.

Cruises on Carnival's three remaining US-based ships – Carnival Ecstasy from Jacksonville, Carnival Paradise from Tampa, and Carnival Sensation from Mobile – have been cancelled through February.
Carnival Splendor and Carnival Spirit, which were scheduled to sail in Australia in February, have also been cancelled.
The FTSE 250 group will monitor the status of public health and adjust its protocols accordingly.
"We are optimistic that vaccines will be approved for children between the ages of 5-11 before the end of the year and we look forward to welcoming more families back on board,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line.
As part of a stock swap programme, the cruise operator purchased 228,000 shares at 1,665p each.
