Hawkmoon Resources (CSE:HM) Corp has announced assay results for five drill holes from the 5,031 metre (m) summer drill program on the Wilson gold project in Québec, which included 4m of 17.3 grams per tonne (g/t) gold.
The company also noted that assay results are pending for another 23 holes drilled around the Toussaint, Midrim, and points in between.
“A couple of the drill holes have exceeded our expectations,” Hawkmoon President Branden Haynes said in a statement.

“On top of receiving these excellent gold values, the program was notably under budget. Funds that has been previously allocated, but were not needed, are now available for future work programs,” Haynes added.
Hawkmoon said the highest gold values were 58.8 g/t in hole HMW 21-01 and 38 g/t in hole HMW 21-09, although the results represent down-hole lengths and not necessarily true widths.
The company signed an option agreement with Cartier Resources in early 2021, earning the right to acquire 100% of the Wilson project over a five-year period.
Hawkmoon is set on unlocking the potential of undervalued projects in Quebec’s Abitibi region, an area that has housed more than 100 mines and produced in excess of 170 million ounces of gold.
The company currently has three exploration-stage properties in the region: Wilson, Romeo, and Lava.
