Whitehorse Gold intersects “bonanza-grade” gold and silver at its Skukum project in the Yukon

Drill results from the step-out hole included a 4.2 metre interval grading 27.1 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 346.4 g/t silver

Whitehorse Gold Corp has reported what it called “bonanza-grade” gold and silver assays from a step-out hole on the company’s wholly-owned Skukum gold project in Canada’s Yukon territory.

Drill results included a 4.2 metre (m) interval grading 27.1 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 346.4 g/t silver from 239.34m to 243.58m depth.

“Hole SC21-015 has returned the highest-grade gold intervals to date from our drill program and shows potential for higher grades and resource expansion at the Skukum Gold Project,” Whitehorse Gold CEO Kevin Weston said in a statement.

“With results now released for 7 drill holes, we look forward to announcing results from the remaining 37 holes over the coming months and are excited by the potential to advance the Project towards a development path,” Weston added.

Whitehorse Gold noted that hole SC21-015 is about a 150-metre step-out up dip from historic drill holes, which the company said represents a significant extension of the Rainbow 2 Zone, one of four zones that constitute the Skukum Creek deposit.

Whitehorse Gold’s flagship Skukum project is a past-producing asset that saw output of 233,400 tons of ore mined and processed to recover about 79,750 ounces of gold between 1986 and 1988.
