Aurumin set to restart gold drilling program at Mt Dimer next week

Mt Dimer is a historical high-grade production centre, having produced more than 125,000 ounces of gold, including open pit and underground production of 600,000 tonnes at 6.4 g/t gold.

Aurumin Ltd (ASX:AUN) is poised to restart drilling next week at its Mt Dimer Gold Project, 120 kilometres northeast of Southern Cross in Western Australia.

Drilling is expected to build on previous successful drilling at existing deposits (Lighting, Frodo and LO3) and will follow up on the newly identified mineralised structures at T6 (Frodo North) and T12.

All required approvals are in place, a drill rig has been secured and mobilisation is planned for the week starting October 11, 2021.

Drilling at existing deposits

Aurumin expects between 2,500 metres and 3,000 metres of drilling to be completed across five deposits and prospects.

Drilling at Lightning aims to extend mineralisation further north into the ultramafic, following the high-grade intersection of 4 metres at 48.69 g/t gold from the July drill program.

The LO3 drilling program is designed to target the continuation of high-grade ore shoots, previously mined both in open pit and underground, and an additional potential new high-grade ore shoot identified in the July drilling program that returned 5 metres at 19.26 g/t gold, including 1-metre at 54.80 g/t, in LO3RC2106 to the north.

Drilling at Frodo is designed to test potential mineralisation at depth and along strike, below underground and open pit workings.

Drilling at prospects

Mineralisation at the T12 structure was confirmed during Aurumin's July drilling program after being targeted as part of Aurumin's SAM survey work.

Notably, drilling took place over a 170-metre strike length at T12 and this round of drilling aims to extend and infill the trend.

Drilling at T6 (Frodo North) is designed to follow up mineralisation intersected during the July 2021 program which returned 2 metres at 11.67 g/t, including 1-metre at 22.00 g/t, in FNRC2101

Forward plan

Aurumin expects this drilling program will take about three weeks to complete, with assays to be received and interpreted six weeks after drilling is complete.

The company is actively exploring its tenements and will pursue further acquisitions which complement its existing focus and create additional shareholder value.
