NEXE Innovations Inc (TSX-V:NEXE, OTC:NEXNF) said it is leading with its own brands and is also currently in discussions to offer capacity to top coffee roasters in North America. The Vancouver-based company is shaking things up in the coffee industry by executing well on the high demand for its patented, fully compostable, plant-based, single-serve coffee pods for use in Keurig and Nespresso coffee machines. In an update to shareholders, NEXE provided a sweeping view of operational highlights since its go-public transaction on December 18, 2020, including the close of a C$34.5 million bought-deal financing. NEXE told shareholders that each scaled manufacturing line will be designed to add a capacity of about 50 million pods per year.

SpotLite360 IOT Solutions (CSE:LITE) Inc as granted, effective after market close on September 30, 2021, an aggregate of 450,000 stock options to certain officers of the company. Each option is exercisable for 10 years for one common share at $0.24 each. This is a normal-course grant that comprises part of the long-term compensation and retention incentives program provided by the company. An initial 75,000 options will vest immediately, and the remaining options will vest in equal 75,000 tranches every 6 month periods thereafter.

IEC Electronics (NASDAQ:IEC) Corp. and Creation Technologies Inc. jointly announced that CTI Acquisition Corp., an entity controlled by Creation, had extended the offer period of the previously initiated cash tender by the merger sub to buy all the issued and outstanding shares of IEC to 5:00 pm, New York City time, on October 4, 2021, unless further extended. The tender offer was previously scheduled to expire at 5:00 pm ET on September 30, 2021. On August 12, 2021, IEC announced it had signed a definitive merger agreement with Creation Technologies, that will see the latter acquire all outstanding shares of IEC. Creation has agreed to pay $15.35 per share in cash, which represents a fully diluted equity value of around $173.8 million and an aggregate enterprise value of $242.3 million, based upon net debt of $68.6 million.

Mydecine Innovations Group Inc (OTC:MYCOF, FRA:0NFA, NEO:MYCO) said it has completed the previously-announced spin-out of its Alt House Cannabis Inc assets, currently referred to as Spinco, to the company’s existing shareholders. Mydecine noted that it had transferred its US cannabis assets and cannabis projects to a separate public company to remove an unintended obstacle to its planned NASDAQ and London Stock Exchange (LSE) listings.

Planet 13 Holdings Inc (CSE:PLTH, OTCQX:PLNHF). has announced that through its subsidiary Planet 13 Florida Inc. it has completed the previously announced purchase of a license issued by the Florida Department of Health to operate as a Medical Marijuana Treatment Center in the state for $55 million in cash. "We are excited to get started building out our footprint in Florida. Initially, our focus will be on a network of high-performing neighborhood stores modelled off our successful Medizin dispensary along with cultivation and production to bring our portfolio of top-selling products to Florida," Planet 13 co-CEO Robert Groesbeck said in a statement. "As Florida gets closer to legalizing adult-use sales, we will start on our world-famous SuperStores in high traffic tourist destinations throughout the state," he added.

Vicinity Motor Corp, a leading supplier of electric, CNG, gas and clean diesel vehicles, has announced that it has partnered with Aereus Technologies to offer its CuVerro Shield technology as an optional feature on all its Vicinity Classic and Lightning EV buses. The Vancouver-based company said the technology is also available for retrofit application for all current operating fleets of Vicinity buses throughout North America. CuVerro Shield is a patented permanent, non-chemical treatment that helps protect transit passengers and operators from the transmittal of harmful bacteria for the entire service life of the vehicle through standard cleaning and upkeep. The treatment, which kills 99.9% of bacteria in two hours and never wears off, is registered with the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Health Canada Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) to make specific health claims.

Endeavour Mining PLC (LSE:EDV, TSX:EDV, OTCQX:EDVMF, FRA:6E2) has set an ambitious new target to discover 15-20 million indicated ounces of gold from its projects in West Africa over the next five years. Over the past four years, the FTSE 250 miner has defined 8.5 million ounces (Moz) of indicated resources and said it will use the same ranking and screening methodology for its new plans with discovery costs forecast to be less than US$25 per ounces. Separately, Endeavour Mining announced the launch of an offering of fixed-rate senior notes due 2026 as well as the entry into a new revolving credit facility. The proceeds of the notes will be used to repay all amounts outstanding under the group’s $370 million bridge term loan facility, which was used to retire higher cost debt facilities acquired upon the acquisition of Teranga Gold Corporation; to repay the $130 million drawn under the group’s existing revolving credit facility (RCF), and to pay fees and expenses in connection with the offering of the notes.

GameSquare Esports Inc’s Gaming Community Network (GCN) has teamed up with Asia Innovation Group (LSE:TIG)’s Uplive and Roc Nation Sports to produce a Pro-Am esports tournament featuring Call of Duty and some of Roc Nation Sports’ top talent. The international gaming and esports company said the open bracket tournament for the general public is set to begin on October 10. Players can sign up to participate by downloading the Uplive app. Play will be two-on-two Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War in Gunfight game mode. Eight teams will then advance to the finals, which will be streamed via Uplive on October 12. Last month, GCN and Roc Nation Sports agreed to an esports gaming partnership with the goal of creating authentic bespoke athlete-centric strategies, including esports tournaments, gaming content production, live streaming events, and content syndication across the GCN Network. “Following our partnership agreement with Roc Nation Sports, we wanted to create esports opportunities to engage the fans of their talent in new ways,” GameSquare CEO Justin Kenna said in a statement.

MGX Minerals Inc. (CSE:XMG, OTC:MGXMF) has completed an initial review of Small Modular Nuclear Reactor Technology (SMR). The company said it has identified an opportunity in the design of a standardized fuel to give confidence to the many developers of SMR technology that a reliable fuel supply will be ready as their new reactor designs become available to the energy infrastructure and long-range space flight markets. In a statement, MGX Minerals said it also has identified uranium and americium-based pellet fuel as the focus, including (but not limited to) TRI--structural ISOtropic particle fuel (TRISO) for the reactor.

Thesis Gold Inc. (TSX-V:TAU) has announced the appointment of Thomas Mumford as a company director. In addition, James Xiang has stepped down from the board effective September 30, 2021, but will remain as an advisor to the company. Thesis Gold said Mumford is an exploration geologist with over 15 years of experience, including extensive technical and project management chops in the gold, rare earth elements (REE), copper-porphyry, and uranium deposits.

Kintara Therapeutics (NASDAQ:KTRA) Inc, an oncology-focused, clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company has received a ‘Buy’ rating from Aegis Capital. The Aegis analysts noted the biotech firm, which is developing VAL-083 for the treatment of glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) and REM-001 for the treatment of cutaneous metastatic breast cancer has several catalysts ahead that could lead to company growth. “Important upcoming events at Kintara include the expected enrollment of the first patient in the 15-patient CMBC confirmatory study, which is a lead-in study ahead of the planned pivotal trial (expected 2Q22),” the analysts said in a note.

LexaGene Holdings Inc. (TSX-V:LXG, OTCQB:LXXGF) has announced that it will be featured at three investor relations conferences in early October. The company’s management will also participate in one-on-one meetings at each conference. Beverly, Massachusetts-based LexaGene is marketing a point-of-need in-clinic PCR system that turns results around in about two hours known as the MiQLab.

Levitee Labs (CSE:LVT) Inc. told investors that its common shares have been accepted for listing on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (FSE) under the trading symbol 7H7. The company said it expects the listing may increase trading liquidity in its stock and facilitate investment opportunities from investors in Germany, Switzerland, Luxembourg, and the rest of Europe. Following the listing on the FSE, Levitee said its shares are now cross-listed on three exchanges, which also include the Canadian Securities Exchange and OTC Markets. "Since our initial listing in Canada, we have been fortunate to receive inquiries from investors internationally," founder and CEO Pouya Farmand said in a statement.

C3 Metals Inc. (TSX-V:CCCM) said it has entered into a purchase and sale agreement to sell 100% of its Rogers Creek copper project in British Columbia to Tocvan Ventures Corp. (CSE:TOC) Previously, Tocvan held an option to acquire up to an 80% interest in the property, which it aims to spin out to Cascade Copper. Tocvan will issue C3 Metals with 500,000 of its shares. C3 Metals will also receive shares of Cascade Copper equal to C$75,000, based on pre-listing finance price, upon the latter listing on the Canadian Securities Exchange. C3 Metals will retain a 2% net smelter royalty on the Rogers Creek property, 1% of which can be repurchased by Cascade for C$1 million. "This sale to Tocvan will continue the company's strategy of monetizing value from its non-core assets,” C3 Metals president and CEO Kevin Tomlinson said in a statement. “It will also give Tocvan and its planned spinout company a quality project to explore and create additional value for its shareholders.”

District Metals Corp said the TSX Venture Exchange has accepted for expedited filing a purchase and sale agreement dated July 20, 2021, between the company and Viad Royalties AB, a wholly-owned subsidiary of EMX Royalty Corp., whereby the seller is the legal and beneficial owner of the mineral licences comprising the Svardsjo exploration project, located in Bergslagen, Sweden, and the company will acquire a 100%interest in the project. Under the terms of the agreement, the purchase price will be satisfied via: (i) a cash consideration of $37,500; (ii) the issuance of 1,659,084 common shares of the company to EMX at a deemed price of 23 cents; and (iii) incurring $1 million in aggregate exploration expenditures over a five-year period, of which no less than $150,000 shall be spent annually.

Playgon Games (TSX-V:DEAL, OTCQB:PLGNF) Inc. has announced that the company will be showcasing its technology at the upcoming Global Gaming Expo (G2E) on October 4-7, 2021, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Star Royalties Ltd (TSX-V:STRR) said the TSX Venture Exchange has accepted for filing documentation pertaining to a royalty purchase agreement dated September 27, 2021, between the company and an arm's-length party, whereby the company has acquired an existing 2% net smelter return (NSR) royalty on the Elk gold mine project, located near Merritt, British Columbia. Under the terms of the agreement, the company has agreed to acquire the NSR royalty for a $10 million cash payment and the issuance of 1,659,304 common shares at a deemed price of 47.460 cents. Additionally, the company will issue 829,652 common share purchase warrants, exercisable for two years at 70 cents per common share.

Pure Gold Mining Inc said that effective September 21, 2021, the company's (final) short form prospectus dated September 21, 2021, qualifying the distribution of 19,048,000 units of the company, was filed with and accepted by the TSX Venture Exchange, and filed with and receipted by the British Columbia Securities Commission and the Ontario Securities Commission. Under Multilateral Instrument 11-102, Passport System, the prospectus is deemed to have been filed with and receipted by the securities regulators for each of the Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador securities commissions. The exchange has been advised that the closing of the offering occurred on September 28, 2021, for gross proceeds of $23,000,460.
