Darktrace investors sell 25mln shares in 750p placing

Darktrace shares have soared since they started trading at 250p in April

Investors in cybersecurity firm Darktrace sold 25mln shares in a secondary placing at 750p per share, following a sharp rise in the share price since the company's flotation in April.

Investors KKR Dark Aggregator L.P., Summit DT CLN Holdings 4 and Balderton Capital SFI, S.L.P. offloaded the shares after lock-up arrangements relating to Darktrace’s initial public offering (IPO) were waived.

Darktrace shares have performed strongly since they started trading at 250p in April. The sale announced today generated total proceeds of £187.5 mln, resulting in a profit of £125mln for the sellers.

In early trade, the shares were down 8.29% at 752p.

Jefferies, Berenberg and KKR Capital Markets acted as joint global co-ordinators and joint bookrunners on the placing. Needham and Piper Sandler acted as joint bookrunners on the placing.
