ECR Minerals PLC (AIM:ECR, FRA:IZGH) appointed Dr Trevor George Davenport as an independent non-executive director with immediate effect.
From 2004 until 2011 Davenport was non-executive chairman and director of Kryso Resources, after which he was consulting for Kryso Resources at the time of the takeover of control of the company by China Nonferrous International Mining Co in 2011.
Today he is a director at Brix Investments Limited.
Having worked as a trainee mining engineer in the South Africa gold mines in the late 1950s before going to university and eventually obtaining his PhD in Geology & Exploration Geochemistry in 1970, he has 63 years of experience working in the geological and mining industry, including as an underground miner, exploration geochemist, exploration and mine geologist and as a lecturer to post-graduate mining geology students.
Trevor has experience in exploration for and mining of gold, copper/nickel, lead/zinc/silver, bauxite, chrome and diamonds, with experience working in Ireland, Canada, USA, Portugal, Romania, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Burma, Ghana, Botswana, Guyana and South Africa.
