LexaGene Holdings Inc said it had generated hundreds of new leads from recent veterinary trade shows the company attended throughout the month of September.
The molecular diagnostics company had a busy month, exhibiting at the WVC Annual Conference, the International Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Conference (IVECCS), and the Southwest Veterinary Symposium (SWVS).
Beverly, Massachusetts-based LexaGene is marketing a point-of-need in-clinic PCR system that turns results around in about two hours known as the MiQLab.

CEO Jack Regan, who attended the shows along with the firm’s CFO Jeffrey Mitchell, told shareholders that the company had “one of the busiest booths” at the shows, which he attributed to the “uniqueness” of its product.
“We are happy to report that during these shows and through our digital marketing campaign, we have generated more than 750 leads during the month of September and have added to our number of sales,” Regan said in a statement.
“The sheer number of booth visitors and the excitement they showed over our technology has hardened our stance that in-clinic PCR testing will soon become commonplace in veterinary medicine.”
The shows are the first time LexaGene has demonstrated the usability and features of its MiQLab system.
According to LexaGene, visitors to the booth included practice managers, veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and corporate decision makers, which the firm’s sales reps are “actively following up,” Regan said.
CFO Mitchell added: “These conferences have re-affirmed our belief that there is strong demand for this technology, and we believe we can become a market leader for in-clinic infectious disease testing. We feel great about the excitement veterinarians showed for our technology and we can leverage this enthusiasm as we focus on closing sales.”
