Bragg Gaming acquisition target Spin Games awarded State of Connecticut Online Gaming Service Provider license

The license will enable Spin, which agreed to be acquired by Bragg in May, to deploy its ROC Remote Gaming Server platform and its online content via state-approved online gaming operators when they go live later this year

Bragg Gaming Group (TSX:BRAG, NASDAQ:BRAG) announced that the State of Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection has awarded acquisition target Spin Games LLC an Online Gaming Service Provider license.

Once approvals for complying with the state’s technical standards are received, the license will enable Spin, which agreed to be acquired by Bragg in May, to deploy its ROC Remote Gaming Server platform and its online content via state-approved online gaming operators when they go live later this year.

Connecticut received final approval from the US Bureau of Indian Affairs to the revisions it made to the current gaming compacts between the State, the Mashantucket Pequot Tribe and the Mohegan Tribe earlier this month, and Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont anticipates that online gaming will be available as early as October, the company added.

“This key regulatory approval confirms the ongoing strength of our company’s online gaming products and adds to our growing list of licensed jurisdictions including New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and British Columbia, and our provisional license in Michigan,” Spin Games’ chairman and CEO Kent Young said in a statement.

“We look forward to being part of Connecticut’s expansion into online gaming and are excited to be going live in the near future.”

Reno, Nevada-based Spin Games specializes in designing and developing world-class gaming content and best-in-class interactive technologies for regulated business-to-business (B2B) social and real money gaming markets.

Produced in HTML5 format and compatible across desktop and multiple mobile applications, the Spin content portfolio includes a versatile range of proprietary and third-party titles, each featuring a unique and engaging theme enhanced with stellar graphics, sounds and features.

Bragg’s acquisition is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2021, subject to regulatory approval.

North American debut

Separately, Bragg announced it will appear at the Global Gaming Expo (G2E) to be held in Las Vegas in October, showcasing its newest iGaming products from a recent string of acquisitions.

The gaming company has acquired a full suite of new games from content studios Wild Streak Gaming and ORYX Gaming, and is set to close a deal for Spin Games LLC shortly.

G2E will be the company’s North American debut, according to Bragg.

Bragg will display a range of games, including popular titles like Lucky Lightning, Congo Cash, and Dragon Power from Wild Streak and Get Hot and Star Chase from Spin Games.

Other products at the event will include its newly branded FUZE Player Engagement Platform and the ORYX Player Account Management iGaming platform.

“Our entire team is delighted to be making our North American debut at one of the biggest gaming events in the world as we introduce our recent and ongoing consolidation of iGaming trailblazers, including Wild Streak Gaming, ORYX Gaming and Spin Games at G2E,” said Richard Carter, CEO of Bragg Gaming Group (TSX:BRAG, NASDAQ:BRAG), in a statement.

“From our award-winning player account management platform to our proven player engagement suite of products, and across our library of the hottest gaming content online or on land, Bragg Gaming is here to light up G2E and the rapidly growing iGaming industry.”

Toronto-based Bragg is a growing global gaming technology and content group and owner of leading B2B companies in the iGaming industry.
