Altaley Mining Corp. said it has learned that the Mexican National Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV) notified Accendo Banco SA of the revocation of its authorization to organize and operate as a multiple banking institution due to having below regulatory minimum levels of liquidity coverage. Altaley has a US$12 million loan facility in place with Accendo Banco and has drawn partial funding under the loan facility. The loan was part of a larger funding package totaling US$25 million as announced on February 23, 2021. “Funds raised through this larger funding package have been, and are being, used to repay debt to Nyrstar Canada Holdings Ltd, fund construction of the company's Tahuehueto Gold mine project and provide working capital,” said the company. To date, construction progress at Tahuehueto has advanced to an estimated 80% of completion. Altaley currently has around US$9.5 million in banking institutions of which US$6.5 million is unrestricted cash immediately available for operations.

Braxia Scientific Corp has reported encouraging preliminary findings of a recent clinical study that suggests ketamine may be as effective as a standalone antidepressant, versus as an adjunctive therapy. The Toronto-based company said the study showed comparable clinical benefits such as antidepressant effects and reduction in suicidal thoughts in a large sample of 220 patients with treatment-resistant depression (TRD) who received intravenous ketamine infusions as a monotherapy, as compared with those receiving ketamine in addition to oral antidepressants. The study was conducted at the Canadian Rapid Treatment Centre of Excellence, a wholly-owned Braxia subsidiary. Following the study protocols, participants in the ketamine monotherapy group achieved response and remission rates of 39.1% and 17.4%, respectively. Meanwhile, those receiving ketamine treatment adjunct to antidepressants saw corresponding rates of 21.9% and 6.7%. "We continue to inform and refine treatment protocols on the implementation of ketamine for individuals with TRD," Braxia Scientific CEO Dr Roger McIntyre said in a statement.
Tocvan Ventures Corp has announced that it will buy 100% of the Rogers Creek copper project in British Columbia from C3 Metals Inc. (TSX-V:CCCM) and unveiled plans to spin out the asset to a newly created company - Cascade Copper Corp - so it can concentrate on its two Mexican properties. Previously, Tocvan had an option to buy up to an 80% in Rogers Creek from C3 Metals but that deal is now void, replaced by the agreement to buy all of the project. Tocvan told investors that, subject to shareholder and regulatory approval, it aims to spin out Rogers Creek to Cascade Copper, which will focus on copper porphyry exploration in southern British Columbia.

The company initially funded US$5 million in exchange for receiving an immediate stream percentage of 2.25% and retained the right to fund a further US$5 million for the remaining 2.25%. The financing will comprise a flow-through placement and a non-flow-through placement.
