Landore Resources Ltd (AIM:LND) confirmed an extension to the BAM gold deposit at the Junior Lake property in Ontario, Canada
Drilling on the western extension of the deposit encountered mineralisation, with a highlight result of 17.45 metres with a grade of 4.13 grams per tonne, including 5.98 metres at 9.8 g/t.
The company has now opted to extend drilling efforts in the western extension, adding 2,500 metres to the programme. The added drilling will be carried out in conjunction with the planned Felix drilling, it added.
"The confirmation of the western extension of the BAM Gold Deposit with intersections containing high-grade gold over significant widths together with our expectation that the shoot continues further to the west, is a just reward for Landore's perseverance with its systematic exploration of the highly prospective Junior Lake Property and further demonstrates its potential to host a multi-million ounce open pit resource with significant underground mining potential," said Bill Humphries, chief executive.
The 2020/21 drill programme started last October and comprises a total of 23,000 metres of HQ diamond drilling, designed to infill and extend the BAM gold resource which stands presently at 1.015mln ounces.
