NorthWest Copper (TSX-V:NWST) Corp has reported more encouraging drill results from its Kwanika project in British Columbia, which have continued to expand near-surface mineralization at the property.
The assays come from holes sunk in the north part of the Kwanika deposit and follow those reported earlier in September from the first 2,000 metres (m) of a planned 8,500m program, which also showed consistently high-grade intercepts.
"We continue to see high-grades from surface and importantly we have significant intercepts where we previously had no grade or low-grade modelled," Peter Bell, the company's CEO, told investors in a statement.
"We are executing on our plan to expand the size of Kwanika through a targeted angle drill program. Throughout this drill program, we have encountered grades higher than adjacent resource blocks, which should favourably affect our upcoming resource as well as the proposed PEA. The continued success of the drilling reflects the high-grade of Kwanika and speaks to the quality of NorthWest’s portfolio," he added.

The latest highlights included an intersection of 202.2m starting from 71.7m depth showing 0.74% copper-equivalent, which included a length of 45.8m, starting from the same depth, of 1.57% copper-equivalent in one hole.
Another hole showed 38.5m at 0.85% copper-equivalent starting from 38.5m depth.
NorthWest Copper (TSX-V:NWST)'s 2021 Kwanika drill program is consistent with the company's high-grade growth strategy and is focused on expanding and improving understanding of the best grade material, the company said.
Since the firm was created in March this year, it has been focused on its high-grade Stardust deposit and on the high-grade portion of Kwanika.
The company also holds the contiguous Lorraine and Top Cat properties and the East Niv asset, prospective for copper and gold in British Columbia.
Results from deeper drilling and step-out drilling at Kwanika, drilling at Stardust, and the first pass East Niv drill program are also pending, noted the explorer.
Also in the statement, NorthWest Copper revealed that Roth Multimedia Inc has been hired for investor relations consulting effective immediately.
