Moonpig upgrades full-year revenue guidance as cards stay in demand

People haven’t left e-commerce behind for physical shops

Moonpig Group PLC (LSE:MOON) raised its full-year expectations as greeting cards remained in demand despite the lifting of lockdown restrictions.

The online retailer forecast full-year revenue to be between £270-285mln and said frequency remains high with customers not abandoning e-commerce despite the reopening of physical shops.

Medium-term growth and margin targets remained unchanged.

The firm said it invested more in marketing and its technology platform, for instance by adding reminders on the app for customers.

It will use the data to provide analysis of consumer behaviour as people return to offices and conditions normalise.
