Empower Clinics Inc is boosting its clinic network of primary care and para-medical healthcare services with another grand opening in October.
The healthcare company will open The Medi-Collective clinic in Etobicoke, Ontario on October 18, following the recent opening of its Hamilton location in September.
The opening is part of Empower’s larger expansion strategy, which now includes 33 in the pipeline.

The Medi-Collective is a multi-disciplinary group of medical practitioners dedicated to applying a collaborative working model with the goal of effective physical and mental community healthcare and positive wellness.
With four provinces set to host The Medi-Collective clinics, Empower said it is expecting to open a new location every three weeks throughout the remainder of 2021 and into 2022.
Clinics will be located in Alberta, British Columbia, and New Brunswick in addition to Ontario. Nine of those locations are currently in development and construction, while another 21 are undergoing due diligence.
Once the locations are fully operational, Empower told investors that they could generate $2,560,000 to $3,600,000 in annual revenue per location on a weighted average fully operational basis.
CEO Steven McAuley told shareholders that the firm’s decision to align with pharmacy brands across Canada is “proving to be so beneficial.”
“Together we support patients and people in the communities we serve. Together, we bring greater access to care, providing advanced specialist services under one roof, both in-clinic and through telemedicine and virtual care,” McAuley said in a statement.
"We are leveraging our R&D and product divisions to ensure people everywhere have more control over their personal healthcare outcomes. Wellness matters, it matters to me, it matters to our team members, it matters to our shareholders, it matters to our partners, it matters to the patients and communities we serve."
Empower also revealed that it is looking to add more services to its healthcare centres, such as cardiology products and teledermatology.
