Golden Arrow Resources Corporation told investors it had started a reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at its Rosales copper project in Chile to test the large conductive zones identified in a recent geophysical survey.
The first phase includes around 1,400 meters (m) in four holes, while the subsequent 1,600m will be used to test the extent of the anomalies as well as other targets. The program is expected to continue through the fourth quarter of 2021.
"We have multiple targets near-surface and at depth exhibiting hallmarks of high-grade, stratabound or mantos-style copper deposits so we are very excited to have the drills turning to test the interpretation," said Brian McEwen, vice-president (VP) of exploration and development at the explorer.

Rosales sits in the Atacama region of Chile and comprises 3,444 hectares of wholly-owned claims and a further 900 hectares under application.
An initial reconnaissance program at the property identified two areas of prospective copper mineralization - the Margarita Mine trend (MMT), and the NW target - with the former being a 3.5km long structural corridor.
And as reported in June, a Transient Electromagnetic (TEM) surface in-loop geophysical survey detected two highly conductive anomalies in the MMT, named G1 and G2, estimated to start within 100 meters of the surface.
In early August the firm said that geophysical surveying had revealed a "more conductive and larger feature" below those near-surface conductivity anomalies.
According to Golden Arrow, the G1 and G2 conductivity anomaly targets cover 800 meters (m) by 500m and 600m by 400m at surface, respectively.
Golden Arrow is actively exploring a portfolio that includes an epithermal gold project in Argentina, a district–scale frontier gold opportunity in Paraguay, a base-metal project in the heart of a leading mining district in Chile and more than 180,000 hectares of properties in Argentina.
