Scottie Resources extends promising Blueberry Zone to over 550 meters strike length

It drilled 14.6 grams per tonne gold over 8.07 metres, extending the Blueberry Zone located 2 kilometers from Scottie’s past-producing Scottie Gold Mine in Canada’s Golden Triangle region

Scottie Resources Corp. (TSX-V:SCOT) reported new assays for the Blueberry Zone located 2 kilometers (km) north-northeast of its high-grade, past-producing Scottie Gold Mine in British Columbia, where high-grade intercepts extended the structure to both the north and south, increasing the drilled strike length to 550 meters.

The Vancouver-based company said intercepts include of 14.6 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over 8.07 meters (m) and 18.4 g/t over 1.54m.

“Drilling last year identified a N-S oriented gold-bearing structure at the Blueberry zone, which was supported by an expansive overlying trend of high-grade surficial sampling,” Thomas Mumford, who is the VP of exploration at Scottie, said in a statement.

“We’ve now had the chance to follow up with drilling to test the strike extent. Our results so far indicate that the high-grade structure continues to both the north and south, increasing the drilled strike length from 150 to 550 meters. With assays in hand and the drills still turning, we’ll continue to explore this open structure,” he added.

The Blueberry Zone lies near the Scottie Gold Mine in British Columbia’s Golden Triangle region. Historic trenching and channel sampling of the Blueberry Vein include results of 103.94 g/t gold over 1.43m, and 203.75 g/t gold over 1.90m.

Despite high-grade surficial samples and easy road access, the Blueberry Vein had only limited reported drilling prior to the company’s exploration work. This near-surface zone is much wider than pursued in previous exploration models and drilling in 2021 aims to expand its strike length.

The Blueberry Zone is 20 km north of Ascot Resources’ Premier project, which is in the process of refurbishing its mill in anticipation of production in 2022, said the company.

Scottie owns a 100% interest in the high-grade, past-producing Scottie Gold Mine and Bow properties and has the option to purchase a 100% interest in Summit Lake claims which are contiguous with the Scottie Gold Mine property. It also owns the Georgia project which contains the high-grade past-producing Georgia River Mine, as well as the Cambria project properties and the Sulu property.

All told Scottie Resources holds over 52,000 hectares of mineral claims in the Stewart Mining Camp in the Golden Triangle.
