Aldoro Resources intersects thick magmatic sulphides at Narndee's VC1 target

The intersections confirm VC1 as a discovery and demonstrates the high prospectivity of the Narndee Igneous Complex.

Aldoro Resources Ltd (ASX:ARN) has confirmed further strong sulphide results at the VC1 target, demonstrating the high prospectivity of the Narndee Igneous Complex in Western Australia.

The company latest drill program at VC1 has intersected zones of thick magmatic sulphides.

Promisingly, assays for drill holes NDD0001 and NDD0002 returned peak values of 1.05% nickel, 2.00% copper and 1.03 g/t palladium.

Given the high success rate of Aldoro's existing VTEM survey, extensions are proposed to screen the remaining areas of highly prospective stratigraphy and geochemistry results.

Drilling results

A limited batch of high priority assay results was returned for NDD0001 and NDD0002, with both returning strong results for nickel, copper, cobalt and palladium:

  • 1.65 metres at 0.93% nickel, 0.15% copper, 0.07% cobalt and 0.22 ppm palladium from 212.75 metres, including 0.4-metre at 1.05% nickel from 214 metres; and
  • 3.8 metres at 0.78% nickel, 0.46% copper, 0.06% cobalt and 0.26 ppm palladium from 146.4 metres, including, 0.1-metre at 2% copper and 1.03 g/t palladium from 146.75 metres.

All seven holes drilled at the VC1 target have returned zones of magmatic sulphides with NDD0008 intersecting 2.95 metres of massive to semi-massive sulphide and 35.95 metres of disseminated magmatic sulphide.

DHTEM has been completed on all holes up to NDD006, with a new off hole target vector being generated at VC1.

Importantly, higher tenor results are expected in subsequent holes where pXRF readings were reported.

VC3 results

Aldoro’s drilling at NDD0005 has confirmed the VC3 area to be highly prospective for nickel-copper PGE mineralisation, particularly at depth.

The anomaly appears to be associated with an internal raft of sulphidic metasediment, hosted by high MgO ultramafics and mafics.

The company is now considering deeper penetrating geophysical techniques, such as large loop high power electromagnetics, to assess the potential of the highly prospective target area between VC1 and VC3.

Forward plan

Aeromagnetic extensions are proposed to screen the remaining areas of highly prospective stratigraphy and geochemistry results.

The proposed extensions are divided into Priority 1 over nickel-copper PGE magmatic sulphide style targets and Priority 2 over copper-gold VHMS style targets.

The dataset has now been extended to cover the entire tenement package and extends over a larger area of the NIC.

Aldoro's drill rig will complete another hole to the east of NDD0003, where the best sulphide accumulations have been intersected. It will then move to the VC11 target, which shows very similar lithological and geophysical characteristics to VC1 target.
