PyroGenesis Canada Inc has announced that its stock will be included in both the FTSE Global Total Cap Index and FTSE Global Micro Cap Index at the start of trading today.
The FTSE Global Total Cap Index is a market-capitalization weighted index that represents the performance of large, mid and small-cap stocks across emerging and developed companies, while the FTSE Global Micro Cap Index is comprised of micro-cap stocks.
“These additions reflect our continued commitment to executing on our business strategy and driving value for our shareholders,” PyroGenesis Canada CEO Peter Pascali said in a statement.

“We believe that inclusion in these indexes will help improve awareness, liquidity, and exposure of our securities within the global community of institutional and retail investors,” Pascali added.
The company noted that both indexes are used as the basis for performance benchmarks and investment products, such as funds, derivatives, and exchange-traded funds by investment professionals globally.
PyroGenesis Canada is a high-tech company that develops and produces innovative plasma torches, plasma waste processes, high-temperature metallurgical processes, and engineering services to the global marketplace.
Essentially, the company harnesses the unique properties of thermal plasma to melt and transform metal, carry out high-temperature chemical reactions and convert waste into energy.
