Emmaus Life Sciences Inc (OTCQX:EMMA) CEO Yutaka Niihara joined Proactive to discuss the Torrance, California-based group's focus on expanding its FDA approved drug, Endari, to treat sickle cell disease internationally, specifically focusing in on the Middle East.
Niihara says recently, the National Health Regulatory Authority of the Kingdom of Bahrain granted Emmaus temporary approval to treat patients with Endari. Additionally, it has submitted a Marketing Authorization Application to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He says the group will look to penetrate Europe and South America as well.
