PlantX Life Inc said it has been actively implementing a retail rebranding initiative by re-naming its existing brick-and-mortar stores as ‘XMarket’ to “reflect the dynamic, interactive, and diverse in-store experience” provided by the company's retail locations.
The rebranding will apply to the company’s current retail locations in Squamish, British Columbia and the New Deli location in Venice Beach, California, as well as its future brick-and-mortar stores in San Diego, California and Tel Aviv, Israel, which are expected to open in October and on November 15, 2021, respectively.
To mark the official unveiling of XMarket in Squamish, PlantX will be hosting a grand opening event on October 14, 2021, which will include a vegan barbeque as well as the launch of a new PlantX-commissioned mural painted by Alex Fowkes, a local Squamish artist.

The company said it will be adding 1,500 new plant-based items to the Squamish XMarket product selection and will offer all of its customers a free plant for each purchase over $50 throughout the day.
PlantX Life also noted that New Deli's product selection has grown significantly since its acquisition by the company in May 2021, due to increasing customer demand, and now includes more than 500 new plant-based items.
As well, the company revealed that its executive chairman Fred Leigh currently owns 2.1 million PlantX common shares and has purchased 250,000 shares since his recent appointment as chairman.
Vancouver-based PlantX Life styles itself as the digital face of the plant-based community with a one-stop destination for all things plant-based, like an online shop and meal delivery services. The online shop houses over 5,000 vegan products, and its recently added meal service delivers chef-created dishes straight to the doors of Western Canada. All in all, the company offers more than 10,000 plant-based products.
