Talon Metals Corp has revealed the highest nickel and copper grades ever drilled at its Tamarack nickel project in Minnesota.
One hole drilled in the CGO West area intersected 4.44 metres of mixed and massive nickel-copper mineralization grading 7.97% nickel and 11.25% copper starting at 269.13 metres.
Other assays reported included 5.23 metres at 5.29% nickel and 2.13% copper, and 13.25 metres at 3.97% nickel and 1.48% copper.

CGO West lies outside of Tamarack’s current resource area, lending credence to Talon’s belief that there is more to be found on the wider property.
"Grade is 'king' in mining, and our recent drill results of 8% to 12% nickel and 11% to 16% copper could be a king maker," said Brian Goldner, Talon’s vice president of exploration, in a statement.
"Not only are we proving a new dimension of the Tamarack Intrusive Complex with these best-ever drill results at the newly discovered CGO West location, but we are also showing that the mineralization is shallow and large scale. The more we drill, the more we understand how the Tamarack Nickel Project can be a vital source of strength for the US EV battery supply chain."
Talon told investors that drilling is ongoing to further expand the enriched high-grade zone of mineralization at CGO West.
The Tamarack Nickel Project comprises the Tamarack North Project and the Tamarack South Project including a large land position, with numerous high-grade intercepts outside the current resource area.
