One Media iP Group PLC acquired the rights to more songs penned by soul and high energy (HiNRg) legend Ian Levine.
The latest batch includes a new recording deal Levine made with multimillion-selling artist Evelyn Thomas who topped the charts with 'High Energy' in 1984.
Thomas and Levine are working on three new recordings - "Pounding the Street", "Isolation" and "One Less Angel". They are due to be released before Christmas 2021.
One Media said it will represent both artist and producer on the publishing to the new tracks, adding it is the first time Levine and Thomas have collaborated on music together in 33 years
This latest agreement also sees One Media exclusively representing the collection and administration of Levine's publishing income from 120 'Northern Soul' song copyrights from artists that include Candi Staton, Sidney Barnes, Jimmy James and The Flirtations.
In January, One Media acquired producer rights to a suite of songs Levine recorded with Take That in addition to the master control rights it already owned to the writer’s recording catalogue, which it markets to over 600 digital stores globally.

"Whilst One Media is not a promoter of new music, being given the opportunity to pick up this back catalogue and to have an interest moving forward from the Levine camp of publishing is right in our sweet spot."
