Underlying profit was up by 44% to £2.8mln, while the dividend has been hiked 25% to 1.25p a share

Cenkos Securities PLC (AIM:CNKS) enjoyed a strong start to the year, buoyed by robust corporate finance activity with momentum continuing into the second half.

The institutional stockbroking firm helped 16 clients raise £580mln in the six months to June 30, £400mln of which came from AIM.

Since the period-end, it has completed two IPOs and a further eight fundraisers.

The company’s net trading gain was £2.4mln, up 199%.

Looking ahead, Cenkos said: “We see reasons for optimism for the remainder of 2021 and beyond.”
