Animoca Brands Corporation Ltd is teaming with Yield Guild Games (YGG), a decentralised gaming guild that pools investor funds to purchase yield-generating NFTs, to launch the first YGG Cup tournament in REVV Racing, a skill-based blockchain game that gives players full control of their car.
The YGG Cup has a prize pool of US$150,000 and will take place on September 10-16, 2021 at www.REVVRacing.com.
YGG is a play-to-earn gaming guild with more than 50,000 members and that invests in yield-generating non-fungible tokens (NFTs) in virtual worlds and blockchain-based games.
The guild recently came to the limelight when its public sale of 25 million YGG tokens, a representation of all YGG assets in the metaverse, was sold out in just 31 seconds on July 27, 2021.

According to Animoca Brands, REVV Racing is the newest play-to-earn title in the REVV Motorsport metaverse of racing games and is a milestone in the company’s plan to develop blockchain-based games that have the quality, look and feel of traditional video games.
In REVV Racing, cars are NFTs and all play sessions are registered on blockchain - but the game looks like a 3D car racing game, familiar to millions of gamers all over the world.
REVV Racing is in an alpha version for development and testing and was built on Polygon, formerly known as Matic, a blockchain platform.
