ASX lower, but several small caps are proving winners

Okapi Resources is up 26.92% at time of writing, having been as high as 53% after a highly successful start to its maiden drilling program at the Enmore Gold Project in northern NSW.

As expected, the S&P/ASX200 is lower today, dropping 15.2 points or 0.20% to 7,515.10.

The bottom performing stocks at time of writing were St Barbara Ltd (ASX:SBM) down 6.57% and Eagers Automotive Ltd down 5.42%.

Over the last five days, the index is virtually unchanged, but is currently 1.54% below its 52-week high.

On the small cap front

Okapi Resources Ltd (ASX:OKR, FRA:260) is up 26.92% at time of writing, having been as high as 53% after a highly successful start to its maiden drilling program at the Enmore Gold Project in northern NSW.

Global Energy Ventures Ltd (ASX:GEV) is up 16.67%, having secured funding from the Western Australian Government under round two of the WA Renewable Hydrogen Fund.

Elementos Limited is up 13.04% on the back of receiving its latest high-grade diamond drilling results from hole ADD_22 at the Oropesa Tin Project in Spain.

Aeris Resources Ltd (ASX:AIS) is up 5.41% after ticking off its phase-2 drilling program at the Constellation deposit, with new results of up to 18.4 metres at 9.4% copper demonstrating further high-grade potential and again exceeding expectations.

Alta Zinc Ltd (ASX:AZI) is up 4.94% after honing in on a ­­large-scale exploration target that stands to extend the size and scope of the Gorno Zinc Project in northern Italy.

Brookside Energy Ltd (ASX:BRK) is up 3.03% after taking a key step towards drilling the high-impact Rangers Well in the SWISH Area of Interest (AOI) in Oklahoma’s world-class Anadarko Basin by securing a drilling rig.
