Xpediator PLC (AIM:XPD) has appointed Mark Whiteling as its new non-executive chairman, effective from 22 September.
He replaces Alex Borrelli, who announced he was stepping down from the role at the time of the 2020 results announcement in April, in line with best corporate practice regarding tenure.
Whiteling's experience includes having been interim chief executive and chief financial officer at product distributor Premier Farnell (LSE:PFL) as well as CFO at Autobar Group and Tibbett & Britten Group, a senior independent director of Hogg Robinson Group and a non-executive director at publisher Future.
Having led the financial restructuring of Interserve (LSE:IRV) as CFO, he is currently the senior independent director for Smiths News PLC as well as chair of its audit committee.
Robert Ross, chief executive of Xpediator, said: "Alex has been an excellent chairman for our group since his appointment in 2016 bringing significant PLC experience to our board from the time of our IPO. We are grateful to Alex for his tireless work, and on behalf of the company we wish him well for the future.
"In Mark, we believe we have found an excellent incoming chairman with substantial board and sector experience. We are very much looking forward to welcoming Mark and working closely with him to progress the development of the group."
