BioVaxys Technology Corp CEO James Passin joined Proactive's Stephen Gunnion with news that the company's recently-announced scientific advisor for its CoviDTH program, Dr Yvelise Barrios, presented her new clinical response study at the 6th European Congress of Immunology from September 1-4.
Dr Barrios is a leading expert in the clinical use of delayed type hypersensitivity (DTH), the mechanism behind CoviDTH, BioVaxys' disposable point-of-care diagnostic tool that screens for a T-cell response to SARS-CoV-2 in vaccinated patients or those exposed to SARS-CoV-2.
Passin telling Proactive that the study conducted by Dr Barrios and her colleagues at the Hospital Universitario de Canarias in Tenerife supports CoviDTH as the company prepares its Investigative New Drug (IND) application for the diagnostic tool.
