Danakali thanks retiring director Robert Connochie for his contribution

“We are very grateful to him for his service to the company and we will miss his experience, clear thinking and good humour going forward,” says chairman.

Danakali Ltd (ASX:DNK, LSE:DNK, OTC:SBMSF) has thanked Robert Connochie for his contribution to the company after he elected to retire as a non-executive director effective midnight August 31, 2021.

Connochie was inducted on the board on February 7, 2017, and according to the company, has been a highly valued board member.

The company said that during his tenure, Connochie brought wisdom and extensive international industry experience to support Danakali as it progresses the Colluli Sulphate of Potash Project in Eritrea.

This support had been an important component in the critical processes of securing offtake, debt financing, ongoing project development and most recently with a successful capital raising.

“Sincere appreciation”

Danakali chairman Seamus Cornelius said: “For the last four and half years Bob’s dedication to the company has been unwavering and he consistently brought his wisdom, sound judgement and astute business acumen to the company during his tenure as an independent non-executive director.

“We are very grateful to him for his service to the company and we will miss his experience, clear thinking and good humour going forward.

“We wish him the very best in the future and I personally express my sincere appreciation for his dedication, insights and friendship.”
