Corero Network Security PLC (AIM:CNS) is to re-jig its sales organisation after Michael Connolly, the vice-president of global sales, moved on to pastures new.
The technology company, which specialises in thwarting distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks on networks, has already begun a recruitment process to hire three new senior executives for a head of North America sales, a head of International Sales and a senior Channel Sales executive.
These new recruits will spearhead Corero's drive to both expand the group's international sales footprint and broaden its blue-chip customer profile, the company said.
Until the new structure is in place, the company plans to create a dual executive leadership structure for North America and the rest of the world sales, with additional executive emphasis on channels, with interim sales responsibility being split between Ashley Stephenson, for North America and Will Hamber, for the rest of the world.
“I am convinced that the changes we are implementing for the sales organisation in the near term will strengthen our position on the DDoS protection market and I look forward to the continuing growth in our business,” said Lionel Chmilewsky, the chief executive officer of Corero, after wishing Connolly well in his new business position.
