CytoDyn appoints pharma industry veteran Dr Seenu Srinivasan as its executive director of CMC Regulatory Affairs

Dr Srinivasan is a former director of CMC Regulatory Affairs for Regeneron Pharmaceuticals and has 30 years of broad regulatory and drug development experience

CytoDyn Inc has announced the appointment of Dr Seenu Srinivasan as the company’s new executive director of chemistry, manufacturing, and controls (CMC) Regulatory Affairs.

Dr Srinivasan, a former director of CMC Regulatory Affairs for Regeneron Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:REGN) Inc, brings 30 years of broad regulatory and drug development experience to his role at CytoDyn, including extensive CMC experience in developing active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and drug products from early phase to commercialization.

“We are very fortunate to add Dr Srinivasan to our CMC regulatory management team,” CytoDyn CEO Dr Nader Pourhassan said in a statement.

“His deep experience and proven leadership qualities will clearly enable him to be a strong contributor in setting the strategic course for our long-term future,” Dr Pourhassan added.

Dr Srinivasan also commented: “I am very excited about the opportunity to join CytoDyn at such an important time when our management team can define and shape the company’s future by advancing our multi-pathway approach to evaluating leronlimab for so many potential indications.”

Vancouver, Washington-based CytoDyn is a late-stage biotechnology company developing Vyrologix (leronlimab or PRO 140) to battle multiple diseases. Most significantly, it is working to develop a significant advance in HIV treatment beyond the “AIDS cocktail” combination of pills that has kept millions of people alive since the mid-1990s.
