Silver Range Resources reveals strong gold anomalies on the Cambridge property in Nevada

Surveys also defined a 1,350 m long anomaly along the Price Lode trend with peak response of 5,070 parts per billion gold in an area of known gold mineralization

Silver Range Resources (AIM:RRL, ASX:RRS) Ltd released an encouraging exploration update on recent work at the Cambridge project in western Nevada, which is a joint venture with Auburn Gold Mining LLC.

In May, the company completed a detailed soil geochemical survey over the known gold mineralization trends on the property, and results defined clear gold-in-soil anomalies coincident with the Price Lode, Cambridge Mine and North trends.

Surveys also defined a 1,350 m long anomaly along the Price Lode trend with peak response of 5,070 parts per billion (ppb) gold in an area of known gold mineralization, Silver Range said.

Bedrock grab samples in the area returned up to 73.4 grams per ton (g/t) gold, and gold-in-soil anomalies in excess of 100 ppb gold were located in three other areas along this trend where no bedrock gold has been found to date, the company said.

At the Cambridge Mine area, the survey outlined a 700 metre-long, open-ended trend of elevated gold-in-soil response with a peak analysis of 401 ppb gold located 440 metres southeast of the Cambridge Mine.

Over on the North trend, gold-in-soil response occurs east of the historic workings where a grab sample recently returned an analysis of 80 g/t gold.

Silver Range said that the gold geochemical anomaly is at least 450 metres long, open-ended to the northeast and returned peak response of 381 ppb gold.

Both Silver Range and Auburn intend to conduct infill/definition soil sampling followed by trenching in the fall to investigate the sources of the gold soil geochemical anomalies.

Vancouver-based Silver Range is a precious metals prospect generator with a portfolio of 45 properties in Nevada and Canada, 16 of which are currently under option.
