Anthony Eaton has over 35 years’ investment experience and has run other thematic global funds that look at the same trend – the expansion of the growing global middle-class population and the businesses that meet the needs and wants of this homogenous group.
Anthony deploys a top-down thematic methodology which drives an unconstrained approach to stock selection. He identifies clearly defined themes and plays these through a well-diversified portfolio to reduce stock specific risk. The result is a fund of over 200 companies across global equity markets which he believes will benefit from the increasing wealth within developing economies.
The fund aims to produce compounding returns with a view of generating growth and income over the long-term.
Anthony began his career with Laurie Milbank and also worked at Hoare Govett and Grieg Middleton prior to joining JM Finn in 2001. From 2005 he managed the CF JM Finn Global Opportunities Fund until it was sold to Thornbridge in 2019. He was recruited by Downing in 2020 to launch the VT Downing Global Investors Fund, which follows a similar mandate.
