Arena Events Group PLC (AIM:ARE)’s (AIM:ARE) new US subsidiary, Arena Aztec Shaffer (AAS), has had its long-term contract to run golf events for the US PGA TOUR renewed for another two years.
The new agreement, which runs until May 2023, covers the same scope of events as previously served by AAS, with pricing adjusted to reflect current market conditions, said the statement.
AAS previously supported seven tournaments a year, including the Players Championship (the fifth major) and the Presidents Cup, having started to work with Championship Management, an arm of the PGA, in 2000.
Greg Lawless, Arena’s chief executive, said the award reflected "a strong delivery of events by AAS since it acquired a 50% stake and allows all parties to plan for a busy upcoming golf calendar, including the Presidents Cup in 2022”.
Temporary seating specialist Arena acquired its stake in ASS in April.
