Aldoro Resources identifies strong off-hole electromagnetic target areas

The next few months will be busy for Aldoro as it commits to its next phase of drilling at VC1, which will target the two high priority off-hole targets.

Aldoro Resources Ltd (ASX:ARN) has successfully completed Downhole electromagnetic (DHTEM) surveying on five holes at VC1 target of the Narndee Igneous Complex in Western Australia.

The company has also completed systematic pXRF analyses on two holes at the VC1 target at Narndee.

Drill hole NDD0005 has commenced at the VC3 target, with highly prospective ultramafic and mafic intrusive suite rocks dominating the hole profile.

Aldoro has a portfolio of gold and nickel focused advanced exploration projects, all in Western Australia.

The flagship Narndee project is prospective for nickel-copper-PGE mineralisation.

Encouraging results from drill targeting

Aldoro’s DHTEM survey was conducted last week across NDD0001, NDD0002, NDD0003, NDD0004 and historical hole MNRC0002.

At least two strong off-hole target areas were identified for immediate follow-up drill testing. Targets are west and north of NDD0002 and west and north of NDD0004.

The next few months will be busy for Aldoro as it commits to its next phase of drilling at VC1, which will target the two high priority off-hole targets.

Aldoro will also test the east-west extent of mineralisation from exiting drill pads, and aim to extend the mineralisation further down plunge, north of NDD0004.

pXRF analysis

As Aldoro waits for assay results from Narndee, it isn’t sitting idle and has undertaken a systematic pXRF analysis on the massive and semi-massive sulphide intercepts from NDD0003 and NDD0004.

Analysis will help qualify the style of mineralisation and sulphide species at VC1.

As pXRF is not reliable for testing vein, breccia and blebby styles of mineralisation, they will not be reported. However, the grades reported will act as a guide to the presence of metal species and the sulphide assemblage rather than be an indication of expected laboratory assay grades.

The holes were analysed by pXRF on a 10-centimetre reading spacing, and a mean average was calculated from the results:

NDD0003

  • 111.6-113.5 metres - 1.82% nickel and 0.11% copper.

NDD0004

  • 272.1-273 metres - 1.90% nickel and 0.05% copper.

Aldoro will report other metals of potential interest, including platinum, palladium and cobalt as they are received.

Ongoing drilling at VC3

Hole NDD0005 at VC3 was at a depth of approximately 230 metres at the time of writing and had intersected a suite of mafic and ultramafic intrusive rocks over its entire length.

These rocks are interpreted to be a similar package to that hosting the mineralisation at VC1.

These results upgrade the VC3 target, which is between 460 and 480 metres downhole in NDD0005.

As Aldoro has now received DHTEM surveying at VC1, it will move the rig back to that location after NDD0005 is finished at VC3.

Positive results at VC3 will see Aldoro fast track a second rig there, which means the company will have several targets being tested simultaneously.
