Trident Royalties directors show confidence with share purchases

Two weeks ago, Trident released second-quarter operating results in which it noted significant asset level progress at a number of projects over which it holds royalties

Trident Royalties PLC (AIM:TRR, FRA:5KV) announced that chairman Paul Smith and non-executive director Peter Bacchus bought £323,000 shares in the company on the open market.

Smith, via his Collingwood Capital vehicle, topped up his holdings in the company with the purchase of 775,000 ordinary shares at a price of 34p apiece, worth £263,500 before costs.

Bacchus picked up his first shares in the company via his Bacchus Capital Advisers Limited vehicle, snapping up 175,000 shares at the same price for £59,500.

Collingwood Capital now holds 3,317,000 shares, representing 1.84% of the company's voting rights, while Bacchus Capital Advisers holds 175,000 representing 0.1% of voting rights.

Two weeks ago, Trident released second-quarter operating results in which it noted significant asset level progress at a number of projects over which it holds royalties.

And last week it noted recent announcements by investee company Apollo Consolidated regarding positive progress at the Lake Rebecca gold project in Western Australia, where the London-listed company holds a 1.5% net smelter return gold royalty over the entirety of the project.
