Keywords Studios PLC (AIM:KWS, FRA:KS3, OTC:KYYWF) (AIM:KWS) has acquired Romania-based video game art studio AMC for €2.8mln.
For the London-listed group the acquisition establishes its art service line in Eastern Europe and opens up the region for Keywords' other services. It advances the group’s strategy to be the ‘go to’ technical and creative services platform for the games industry, it added.
AMC works for major games publishers, including Activision, 2K, CD Projekt Red, Wargaming and Zynga – on titles such as Call of Duty, World of Tanks, Spider Man, Mafia and Planet of the Apes.
“We are excited by the expertise and experience that AMC will bring to our art service line and by the growth opportunities for the service line as well as for Keywords' wider business in the region,” said Jon Hauck, Keywords' joint interim chief executive.
