Elementos receives further strong Oropesa tin results that confirm additional zones

According to the company, drilling data confirms the existence of relatively shallow mineralisation in the centre of the resource, intersecting mineralisation thicker than previously modelled.

Elementos Ltd (ASX:ELT, OTC:ELTLF) has confirmed additional zones of tin mineralisation at its wholly-owned, flagship Oropesa Project in Spain following the completion of a planned 44 diamond drill hole program.

Assay results have been returned from the latest four holes of a drill campaign with the best result of 1.5 metres at 1.75% tin from 116 metres.

Other strong results include:

  • 9.4 metres at 0.58% tin from 11.2 metres;
  • 22 metres at 0.18% from 36.7 metres;
  • 11.3 metres at 0.38% from 34.7 metres; and
  • 7.1 metres at 0.37% from 96.5 metres.

These new results follow encouraging assay data from 29 drill holes previously reported from this program.

Program goals accomplished

Elementos chief executive Joe David said the drill hole assay results accomplished two of the company’s program goals.

He said: “This data confirms the existence of relatively shallow mineralisation in the centre of the resource, intersecting mineralisation thicker than previously modelled.

“In addition, the lack of significant mineralisation intersected in hole P44 (outside of the 2018 mineral resource) adds value as a sterilisation hole, confirming this location is appropriate for the planned external waste stockpile, as per the 2020 Updated Economic Study.”

Assays pending

Assay data from an additional 11 drill holes remains pending.

David added: “These results continue to validate and increase confidence in the previously modelled resource and mine infrastructure locations, propelling the project forward and confirming the company’s DFS development strategy.”
