Gatling Exploration reveals high-grade gold intercepts of up to 25.3 g/t at the Bear deposit on the Larder project

The company also offered an update on its drill program at the Fernland deposit, where it identified three new mineralized zones striking over one kilometre

Gatling Exploration (TSX-V:GTR, OTCQB:GATGF) Inc revealed new drill results and positive news from its ongoing drill program at the Larder gold project that it said adds “significant value” to its upcoming mineral resource estimate.

Ongoing drilling at the Bear deposit has returned 7.7 grams per ton (g/t) gold over 17 metres (m), including 25.3 g/t gold over 4m up plunge from the core of the deposit and connecting it to near-surface lenses identified in Gatling’s 2019 program, according to the company.

Nathan Tribble, Gatling’s Vice President exploration, called the results “very significant” in that they connect the high-grade core of the deposit to lenses.

“It is expected that these latest holes will add a large amount of volume and ounces to our upcoming resource update as the gap prior to these drill holes was 300 metres in strike and 150 metres vertically,” Tribble said in a statement.

The company also offered an update on its drill program at the Fernland deposit, where it has completed a 13,500m program. According to Vancouver-based Gatling, the program was successful in identifying three new mineralized zones striking over one kilometre starting at surface down to about 250m, with gold intersections such as 1.5 g/t gold over 200.7m, including 6.1 g/t gold over 23.7m.

The results will be incorporated into Fernland’s upcoming resource estimate, planned for 3Q 2021.

"The 25,000 metres exploration program outlined at the beginning of the year is nearly 90% complete and has continued to deliver impressive results across the Fernland and now Bear deposits, which bode well for the upcoming mineral resource estimate at the Larder project,” Gatling CEO Jason Billan said.

“One of the primary objectives of our program this year was to close the gap between two main lenses at Bear, which begin at roughly 100 metres below surface and the core of the Bear deposit, which commences at approximately 500 metres depth. We have now accomplished this significant achievement in a timely manner.”

Gatling’s flagship Larder project is located in the prolific Abitibi greenstone belt in northern Ontario.
