San Leon pauses Energy Link Infrastructure’s debt repayment as fresh deals are mulled

In June, San Leon revealed it was in talks with Energy Link and it was considering making a fresh investment

San Leon Energy PLC (AIM:SLE, AQSE:SLE, FRA:SZX1, OTC:SLGYF) (AIM:SLE) told investors that its scheduled cash-call to Energy Link Infrastructure Limited (ELI) has been paused as the company looks at potential fresh investment in its associate.

The company was due its first repayment under its loan agreement, entered into a year ago, though as announced in June the company is presently considering further debt and equity investments in ELI.

The repayment schedule would see US$2.2mln now due to San Leon, but the company noted that it is anticipated that this sum will be offset from any new investments agreed upon with ELI.

In the meantime, the first repayment instalment will accrue interest of 14%.
