Cauldron Energy Ltd (ASX:CXU) has completed the necessary services to enable drilling to begin at its Blackwood Gold Project in central Victoria, with more than 450 metres of underground pipework installed.
The company is fully funded for the upcoming drill program with consent from the authorities received.
With this work now completed, Cauldron’s drill contractor, Core Prospecting, has started to mobilise and aims to begin drilling by mid-August.

Tyreconnel Access Drive
Cauldron’s recently appointed structural geologist Mark Burdett is involved in re-designing the drill program to take advantage of the Tyrconnel Drive Access’ extensive rock exposures to better target the multiple gold lodes.
With the initial drill position immediately available and with the required air and water reticulation in place, the drilling contractor will be able to set up on the first hole soon after mobilising its drill equipment underground utilising the Tyrconnel access drive.
This access drive provides multiple drill positions to target the conceptual down-plunge extensions of up to eight reef structures utilising short diamond holes.
Notably, the Tyrconnel tunnel bisects many of the north-south striking multiple reef systems slightly underneath and to the south of the mined region at the Pioneer Shaft collar.
