ReNeuron appoints chief financial officer

Catherine Isted spent 12 years at partner level in two leading healthcare banking teams undertaking multiple initial public offerings and follow-on fundraisings

ReNeuron Group PLC (AIM:RENE, FRA:RQE1) has announced Catherine Isted will be joining the board as Chief Financial Officer effective 11 October, 2021.

Isted, who holds a first-class chemistry degree and is also a chartered accountant, is joining from Oxford Biomedica PLC, where she is currently part of the finance leadership team heading up the corporate development and investor relations functions.

"Catherine has an excellent knowledge of the healthcare sector and is highly skilled in equity capital markets, M&A [mergers & acquisitions] and strategic business development,” said Ian Ross, the chairman of ReNeuron.

Isted has also held research analyst and equity sales positions in the healthcare teams at Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS), ABN AMRO, Nomura and Peel Hunt – experience that will be “incredibly valuable”, according to the company’s chief executive officer, Olav Hellebø.

Isted said she was delighted to be joining ReNeuron “at what I think is an exciting time in the company's evolution, not only for the group's lead stem cell programme in Retinitis Pigmentosa but also for their proprietary Exosomes and induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) platform technologies where there is growing excitement in the healthcare industry around their significant potential in a multiple of therapeutic areas”.
