YPB Group completes share sale under small shareholding sale facility

As at the end of the June quarter, the company held $1.35 million in cash and equivalents.

YPB Group Ltd (ASX:YPB) has completed a share sale under its small shareholding sale facility at $0.002 per share.

The facility, announced on May 20, was established for shareholders who hold less than $500 worth of fully paid ordinary YPB shares, enabling holders to sell their shares without incurring brokerage or handling costs.

A total of 1,193 shareholders, collectively holding 101,849,898 fully paid ordinary shares, participated in the sale facility, with the reduction poised to reduce the company’s administrative costs, including printing and mailing costs and share registry expenses.

Shareholders who participated in the sale facility will receive proceeds from the sale using the payment method on record.

They will also receive transaction confirmation statements in accordance with their nominated communication preferences.

MotifMicro1's Android compatibility

On June 1, the company’s forensic anti-counterfeit solution, MotifMicro1 (MM1) was officially made compatible with Android devices as part of its global marketing launch.

MM1 underwent an initial iOS marketing launch in late April, but several of YPB’s global partners suggested including Android capability could accelerate the technology’s pathway to pilot trials.

Select Android users can test the MM1 authentication technology via Google’s Firebase app development platform.

YPB’s solution is an answer to a staggering jump in the value of the counterfeit goods and piracy market over the last decade. Looking ahead, Frontier Economics estimates this sector could be worth as much as US$2.8 trillion by 2022.

MotifMicro seeks to combat this industry with a solution that combines smart packaging with smartphone-readable technology.
