Ryanair Holdings PLC (LSE:RYA) said that passenger numbers have doubled in July as the travel industry begins to recover.
The budget carrier flew 9.3mln people last month, across over 61,000 flights, compared to 4.4mln in July 2020.

The load factor rose to 80% from 72% in July, which analysts at Liberum noted was the strongest since the start of the pandemic.
"Ryanair has operated more capacity than we expected and will inevitably have used low fares to stimulate demand, which has also benefited from the roll-out of EU Covid certificates,” fellow broker Peel Hunt commented.
“We expect a further increase in passenger volumes and load factor in August as travel restrictions are gradually eased and customers become more accustomed to travel requirements for certificates and testing.”
