Quadrise Fuels International set to start analysis of oil sample from Greenfield Energy

"We look forward to completing the testing and analysis work during August and to reporting the results to Greenfield and to updating Quadrise shareholders in due course," said Quadrise chair Mike Kirk

Quadrise Fuels International PLC (AIM:QFI, FRA:8QF) has received a sample of produced oil from Greenfield Energy LLC's Utah operations and will conduct its own analysis.

The sample, three drums of oil, was produced at the Petroteq Oil Sands Plant (POSP) and it arrived at the Quadrise Research Facility in Essex. It will undergo an extensive programme of testing which is expected to have concluded by the end of August.

Quadrise will determine whether commercial MSAR and/or bioMSAR fuel products can be produced from the oil. It will also assess whether it would be suitable for the potential power and marine end-user markets.

"We are pleased that we have now received the sample from Utah and we look forward to completing the testing and analysis work during August and to reporting the results to Greenfield and to updating Quadrise shareholders in due course," said Quadrise chair Mike Kirk.

Greenfield Energy LLC is joint venture, which comprises Valkor LLC and TomCo.

It has been conducting a pilot in Utah utilising a plant owned by Petroteq Energy and includes technology licenced from Quadrise Fuels International.

Subject to the pilot results and the FEED, Greenfield will develop a new 10,000 bopd plant – comprising two 5,000 bopd trains – utilising design improvements and knowledge gained from the POSP pilot.
