Directa Plus PLC (AIM:DCTA, OTC:DTPKF, FRA:88K) said its Italian subsidiary has qualified for a total of €0.7mln in loans under the Italian government's Covid-19 recovery plan.
The Italian bank Intesa Sanpaolo will provide the loan in two tranches with a 90% guarantee from the Italian government, a coupon of 1.50-1.8% and a five to six-year term.
The money will accelerate its strategic programme, said the graphene technology specialist.
Directa added it is also in discussions over an additional €0.5mln loan.
Giulio Cesareo, chief executive, said: "This measure offered by the Italian government to respond to COVID crisis will be utilised by Directa to accelerate activities in areas where our G+ graphene has a significant competitive advantage like environmental, batteries, anti-viral and anti-bacterial textiles."
