Applied Graphene Materials launches new eco-friendly range of graphene nanoplatelet dispersions

All ten of the top ten coatings companies by global sales now offer eco-friendly products with lower levels of volatile solvent emissions

Applied Graphene Materials PLC (AIM:AGM, FRA:94A, OTCQB:APGMF) said it launched a new range of eco-friendly graphene that will help improve the sustainability of paints, coatings and composite materials.

The company also said that trading in its shares will begin today on the OTCQX Best Market in the United States under the ticker symbol APGMF.

Applied Graphene said the “ground-breaking” range of graphene nanoplatelet dispersions was available for evaluation by customers, who it said are being driven to invest in bio-based innovation as customers and their end consumers become increasingly aware of the safety and environmental impact of the raw materials they use.

All ten of the top ten coatings companies by global sales now offer eco-friendly products with lower levels of volatile organic compound (VOC) solvents, it noted.

Applied Graphene’s new Genable 1700 range of eco-friendly graphene nanoplatelet dispersions are based on its well-established graphene dispersion technology, which the company has proven to deliver high levels of chemical resistance, barrier and anticorrosion properties.

They are integrated with a selection of certified, fully biobased solvents and resins available in the market, the company added, including a biorenewable solvent and industry-leading, solvent-free renewable resins.

Chief executive Adrian Potts said: “I am proud that AGM is taking a leading role in delivering graphene in sustainable formats that will help our customers reduce the environmental impact of their products.”

He added that AGM is committed to being part of a sustainable supply chain and is looking for further improvements to align with the principles of the UN Sustainability Development Goals.

“We believe that through our constant product innovation we can empower our customers to not only set new product performance standards, but new sustainability standards for their industries.”

On the OTCQX listing, the company said it is an important step, providing exposure to a wider audience of potential investors by easing cross-border trading for US investors.
