Thor Mining PLC (AIM:THR, FRA:T5MC, OTCQB:THORF, ASX:THR) highlighted its work at the Alford East copper-gold project and Ragged Range gold project, both in Australia, in a quarterly update.
The maiden diamond drilling programme at Alford East remains on time and on budget, with initial assay results anticipated to come in over the next few weeks, it said.
“At a time when the copper price is at decade highs, Thor is fast tracking the exploration and In Situ Recovery development of the Alford East project,” said managing director Nicole Galloway Warland.
At Ragged Range, where the company has already reported “highly significant” results from soil surveys at the Sterling Prospect, a follow up infill soil programme and regional stream sediment sampling are expected to start this month.

Access to the prospect area is being upgraded to allow exploration teams to work without the need for helicopter support. This will accelerate field work and allow follow up current soil sampling to be completed quickly, as well as allowing access for a drilling rig, it said.
