Two of Carnival PLC (LSE:CCL)'s (LON:CCL) US brands have resumed operations from Seattle.

Holland America Line’s Alaska cruise sailed July 24 and Princess Cruises resumed operations yesterday, July 25.

Each line will operate ten cruises sailing out of Seattle through September with the departures marking the return to cruising and Alaska for both lines.

Last week, Carnival said it expects three quarters of its global fleet to be in operation by the end of 2021.

In a statement, the FTSE 100 group said that the non-US ships would be running at a 65% operating level by the end of 2021 and with US sailings to take the total for the group overall to 75%.
