Revolution Beauty starts trading on AIM with £495mln valuation

The retailer completed a £300mln placing announced last week

Revolution Beauty Group PLC (LON:REVB) has started trading on AIM after completing a £300mln placing announced last week.

The beauty products retailer placed 69mln shares at 160p each, raising £110mln for the company and £189mln for selling shareholders.

It said the fundraising was significantly oversubscribed and priced at the top of the valuation range, valuing the group at £495mln.

“We began eight years ago to start a revolution in beauty and in order to ensure high quality, cruelty free cosmetics and skincare are affordable for everyone,” said Adam Minto, the company’s chief executive and co-founder.

"There remains a considerable opportunity and we are now in the best possible position to broaden our global reach and deliver against our significant growth prospects in a beauty market that has very compelling dynamics for an agile and inclusive business like ours.”
